The Susan Constant was one of the ships that sailed into the Chesapeake Bay. The two other ships were the Godspeed and the Discovery. Well, according to my research, “Susan Constant, at 120 tons, was the largest of three ships of the English Virginia Company that were led by Captain Christopher Newport on the 1607 voyage that resulted in the founding of the first permanent English settlement in North America, Jamestown, in the new Colony of Virginia. On that voyage, she carried 71 colonists, all male.”
Here is a little out line of the Susan Constant:
I. The Susan Constant
a. Served as a merchant ship through, at least, 1615.
b. No one knows what happened to that ship.

The James River was found by colonists that ran into it and named it the James River, to honor their king, King James the first. According to my research,” The Native Americans called the James River the Powhatan River.” The definition of James River would be, “A river, about 547 km (340 mi) long, rising in central Virginia and flowing eastward to Chesapeake Bay. The river is navigable to Richmond for large craft.” I am sorry but I don’t have an outline for the James River. Well I hope you learned something.
