Love vs. Selfishness
Giving to others basic need without having as my motive personal reward.
I. Love
a. Love is like helping people with things and stuff like that.
b. But without having ANY REWARDS.
II. An Example of Love
a. Lets say you see a person in crutches who is trying to open the door.
b. What should you? You should help them open the door.
c. Another example is like you see an old lady carrying groceries and she has a lot more.
d. What should you do? Of course help her carry them.
e. But never ask for a REWARD or even use to get one.
f. Do you know why you shouldn’t ask? There are two reasons:
1. It would be rude.
2. You wouldn’t be showing love.
III. An Example of the Opposite of Love
a. Lets say you see your brother/sister in a struggle with his/her homework.
b. The opposite of love is selfishness, so the bad example would be: You would not help him and use your time first and that be the opposite of availability another character clue.
c. And that would be Self-centeredness.
d. Another bad example would be like you help some one right but except you ask for a reward and that would be rude even if you get the reward.
e. You should not try to use the bad example, instead use the good one in your life.
